What data on sales and products must a company record for the Packaging Act?

The Power of Data For Success

In order to be able to make the reports to the central office (verpackungsregister.org) correctly, companies must have a variety of data as a basis for calculation, which may not yet exist. Roughly speaking, you need to know:

  • What kind of packaging does a product I sell have?
  • How many products in which size have I placed on the market in Germany?
  • In which cardboard boxes did I send the products, and which filling materials were in these cardboard boxes? Which tape was used for the package and which labels were stuck on the package?
  • Which product samples did I include in addition to my own product?
  • If I have a store, what shopping bags were given out, and what wrapping paper were the products wrapped in at Christmas

Are there any other things you can think of? I would be happy about a discussion!

Personally, I am still very interested in how exactly you maintain this data in your ERP system. If you need an approach for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, feel free to contact me - I will help you with all your questions about Business Intelligence with Microsoft Dynamics NAV!
