In today's business world, it is essential to have a clear overview of item sales and customer trends. Unfortunately, many ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems do not provide the necessary graphical reports to effectively analyze this data. This is exactly where our new, customized report comes in, which we would like to present to you today.
A look at the report
In this video, a specially developed report is presented that makes it possible to graphically analyze which items were sold to which customers and how these sales have developed over time. The report is based on one million invoice items and provides detailed insights into sales, customer behavior and item development. It can be seamlessly integrated into the existing ERP system and offers a visually appealing and interactive presentation of the data.
Sales analysis in detail
A summary of the annual turnover can be seen in the top left-hand corner of the report. The current turnover is 6.1 million euros, which corresponds to a slight decrease of 145,000 euros compared to the previous year. This key figure makes it possible to see at a glance how the business has developed.
To the right is a monthly sales trend compared to the previous year. Months in which sales were below the previous year's figure are shown in red, while green bars indicate months in which sales increased. This visual representation helps to quickly identify seasonal trends and anomalies.
Article and customer analysis
The lower section of the report is particularly interesting. On the left is a breakdown of sales by product. For example, the XL bedroom set brought in 357,000 euros in sales this year, an increase of 9,500 euros compared to the previous year. Such detailed analyses make it possible to identify the top sellers and track their development over time.
On the right, on the other hand, you can see the distribution of turnover by customer. Here it is clear that "Schmitt Holz" is the best customer, with a turnover of 146,000 euros this year, which corresponds to an increase of 11,000 euros compared to the previous year. This information is particularly valuable for the sales department to plan targeted customer approaches.
Interactive functions
The true value of this report lies in its interactivity. You can click directly on a customer, for example on "Schmidtholz", and the entire view immediately adjusts to show only the data for this customer. This makes it possible to see at a glance which articles this customer prefers and how their purchasing behavior has developed over the months.
You can also filter by item. As a product manager, for example, it might be interesting to see how sales of bedroom sets have developed. By selecting the relevant items, you can immediately see which customers have bought these sets and how their purchasing behavior has changed.
Conclusion
This customized report transforms invoice items into valuable insights. Whether Dynamics 365, SAP or another ERP system is used - the report can be connected to the system. For just a few thousand euros, you get a powerful tool that helps you to better understand the business and make strategic decisions.
